Verve Care & Support Pty Ltd is seeking values-aligned, compassionate Casual Support Workers to provide tailored care to both young individuals and adults living with disability. We have multiple roles available across locations including Wynnum, Mount Gravatt, North Lakes, Redcliffe, Chermside, and Springfield Lakes.

We are especially seeking candidates with lived or learned experience in mental health and disability support, including those who are committed to inclusive care for participants who identify as LGBTQIA+ or live with complex psychosocial challenges.

About the Role

Support work with Verve is meaningful and diverse—every day brings new opportunities to uplift and empower. You’ll help clients with:

  • Personal care, daily living activities, and community engagement
  • Mental health support, behavior de-escalation, and emotional regulation
  • Accessing programs, building life skills, and achieving personal goals
  • Light domestic assistance in-home and transport to appointments or outings

Shifts available include weekdays, weekends, evenings, and sleepovers. Flexibility is welcomed—work as much or as little as suits your lifestyle.

Our Ideal Candidate Has:

  • Excellent communication and emotional resilience
  • A current Blue Card (Paid Working With Children)
  • A current Yellow Card or NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • First Aid and CPR certifications
  • Completed (or willing to complete) the NDIS Worker Orientation Module
  • Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent
  • Availability for a range of shifts including weekends

Highly Regarded:

  • Mental Health First Aid or relevant experience in psychosocial support
  • Experience with hoisting, personal care, or complex behaviors
  • Police Check valid within the last 3 years
  • Reliable insured vehicle and full driver’s license

Remuneration: Minimum $41.76 per hour (based on Certificate III qualifications) under the SCHADS Award.
