Disability Support Worker - Multiple Positions

Job Description

About the Role

We are seeking compassionate, reliable, and skilled Disability Support Workers to join our growing team. You will provide direct support to NDIS participants across a range of daily living, community access, and capacity‑building activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide respectful, person‑centred support aligned with participants’ NDIS goals
  • Assist with personal care, hygiene, grooming, and daily living tasks
  • Support participants with meal preparation, household tasks, and medication prompts
  • Facilitate community access, social participation, and recreational activities
  • Implement behaviour support strategies (where applicable) in line with PBS plans
  • Maintain accurate shift notes, incident reports, and documentation
  • Promote independence, choice, and control in all interactions
  • Communicate effectively with participants, families, support coordinators, and allied health
  • Uphold NDIS Practice Standards, safety requirements, and organisational policies

Requirements

  • • Experience in disability support, aged care, mental health, or community servicesRequired
  • • Strong understanding of person‑centred practice and trauma‑informed careRequired
  • • Current NDIS Worker Screening CheckRequired
  • • Current Blue Card (Working with Children Check)Required
  • • First Aid & CPR CertificateRequired
  • • Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicleRequired
  • • Ability to work independently and follow support plansRequired
  • • Excellent communication, reliability, and professional boundariesRequired

Additional Requirements

Desirable Criteria Certificate III or IV in Disability, Individual Support, Community Services, or similar Experience supporting participants with psychosocial disability, complex needs, or behaviours of concern Experience with SIL, community access, or in‑home support environments Knowledge of Positive Behaviour Support and restrictive practice obligations Ability to use mobile apps for shift notes, incident reporting, and rostering
